Inspired by the “third share” tradition of the Kattunayakan community, this bookmark celebrates a way of living in balance with the forest—where the first share belongs to the forest, the second to the community, and the third to us. Handcrafted by the women of Urumala, it carries a small story of bees, honey and coexistence wherever you go.
 
 
Each piece is constructed by hand through the intricate technique of felt-on-felt appliqué—a heritage craft method to create multi-dimensional landscapes and wildlife scenes. Creating a single cover requires a lot of direct hand labor, depending on the complexity of the illustration. Because every element is placed and sewn by hand, no two pieces are identical, resulting in a unique, artisanal home accent that balances durability with tactile beauty.
