Inspired by a playful encounter between an elephant and a jackfruit tree in the forests of Gudalur, this bookmark captures a small moment of harmony between wildlife and the forest. Handcrafted by the women of Urumala.
 
Each piece is constructed by hand through the intricate technique of felt-on-felt appliqué—a heritage craft method to create multi-dimensional landscapes and wildlife scenes. Creating a single cover requires a lot of direct hand labor, depending on the complexity of the illustration. Because every element is placed and sewn by hand, no two pieces are identical, resulting in a unique, artisanal home accent that balances durability with tactile beauty.
