Wall Mount - Applique Third Share

Wall Mount - Applique Third Share

Reflection of an Adivasi belief - first for the forest, then for the community, and finally for ourselves.

Inspired by the honey-harvesting traditions of the Kattunayakan community of the Nilgiris, this design celebrates a deep understanding of the forest and its rhythms. Honey is harvested with care, leaving enough behind for the bees and bears that share the forest.

Handcrafted by the women of Urumala, each piece carries stories inspired by the Nilgiris Biosphere. For women who call the forest their home, these stories bring the wildlife, traditions and everyday moments of the forest to life through fabric.
Comes with a bamboo stick for easy wall mounting.

Each piece is constructed by hand using the intricate technique of felt-on-felt appliqué—a heritage craft method for creating multi-dimensional landscapes and wildlife scenes. Creating a single cover requires a lot of direct hand labor, depending on the complexity of the illustration. Because every element is placed and sewn by hand, no two pieces are identical, resulting in a unique, artisanal home accent that balances durability with tactile beauty.

It comes as a single piece.
